Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 21, 2009 and permission to meet granted, the House Committee on Licensing & Administrative Procedures met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the acting chair, Representative Thompson at 1:01 p.m.

The chair laid out HCR252.

 

The chair explained the measure.

 

Representative Chisum moved that HCR252, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on Local and Consent Calendars. The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

 

Ayes:                             Representatives Thompson; Chisum; Geren; Gutierrez; Hamilton (5).

 

Nays:                             None (0).

 

Present, Not Voting:     None  (0).

The chair recognized Representative Geren to explain the measure.

The amendment was adopted without objection.

 

The chair directed the staff to incorporate the amendments into a committee substitute.

 

Representative Chisum moved that SB2505, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on Local and Consent Calendars. The motion prevailed by the following record vote:
