Pursuant to a notice posted on January 27, 2010, the House Committee on Natural Resources met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Ritter, at 9:21 a.m.

 

The roll was answered as follows:

 

Present:              Representatives Ritter; Callegari; Creighton; King, Tracy O.; Lucio III; Miller, Doug (6).

 

Absent:              Representatives Corte, Frank; Frost; Laubenberg; Martinez Fischer; Smithee (5).

 

A quorum was present.

 

INTERIM CHARGE NUMBER 2

 

The chair laid out Interim Charge Number 2 which states, "Monitor the effects of current and proposed federal initiatives that could impact the implementation of the State Water Plan.  Evaluate the policies and investments developed by other states dealing with water issues similar to the State of Texas."
