Pursuant to a notice posted on May 15, 2009, the House Committee on Pensions, Investments & Financial Services met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Truitt, at 8:07 a.m.

 

The roll was answered as follows:

Absent:              Representatives Anderson; Flynn; Veasey (3).

 

A quorum was present.

 

SB 2064

 

The chair laid out SB 2064.  Representative Woolley offered a complete committee substitute.

The chair recognized Representative Otto to explain the measure.

The committee substitute was adopted without objection.  Representative Truitt moved that SB 2064, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on Local and Consent Calendars. The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

Representative Woolley moved that SB 2577, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on Local and Consent Calendars. The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

At 9:56 a.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was recessed until 4:00 p.m., May 20, 2009.

 

Pursuant to a motion to suspend the 5-day posting rule and all necessary rules without objection, and an announcement from the house floor on May 20, 2009 to meet during lunch recess, the meeting was reconvened at 1:08 p.m. and was called to order by the chair, Representative Truitt. The roll was answered as follows:
