Pursuant to a notice posted on April 15, 2010, the House Committee on Public Safety met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Merritt, at 10:04 a.m.

 

The roll was answered as follows:

 

Present:              Representatives Merritt; Burnam; Rodriguez; Vo (4).

 

Absent:              Representatives Frost; Driver; King, Phil; Lewis; Mallory Caraway (5).

 

Opening statements were made regarding the committee's interim charge and other border affairs.
