Pursuant to a suspension of the 5-day posting rule on May 18, 2009, and an announcement from the house floor on May 18, 2009, the House Committee on Transportation met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Pickett, at 11:56 a.m.

Representative Guillen moved that SJR 9, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the following record vote:
