Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 18, 2009 and given permission to meet while the House was in session, the House Committee on Ways & Means met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Oliveira, at 2:37 p.m.

Representative Villarreal offered a complete committee substitute.

 

The committee substitute was adopted without objection.

 

Representative Villarreal moved that SB 1311, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the committee on Local and Consent Calendars. The motion prevailed by the following record vote:
