Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule 11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Committee on S/C on Flooding & Evacuations was held on Monday, October 18, 2010, in the Capitol Extension, Room E1.016, at Austin, Texas.

The chair called the meeting to order at 2:01 p.m.  There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted: 

 

Senator Juan Hinojosa attended the Committee Hearing.

 

The Chair called the following persons to provide invited testimony on Charge #1, relating to regionalized drainage issues (see attached witness list).

 

The Chair called the following persons to provide invited testimony on Charge #3, relating to evacuations and hurricane engineering (see attached witness list). 

 

At 4:07 p.m. Senator Nichols assumed the chair. 

 

At 4:18 p.m. Senator Gallegos, Jr. resumed the chair. 

 

Chair called the following persons to provide public testimony on Charges #1 and #3 (see attached witness list).

 

There being no further business, at 5:02 p.m. Senator Gallegos, Jr. moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of the chair.  Without objection, it was so ordered.
