Senator Hinojosa, Vice Chair, called the meeting to order at 8:33 a.m. There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted:
The chair laid out SB 1 as pending business.
Testimony was given on the following agencies. Witnesses testifying and registering on the bill are shown on the attached list.

The chair moved that testimony on Article VI be closed; without objection, it was so ordered.

Senator Ogden announced the members of the Articles V and VII workgroup: Senator Eltife (leader), Senator Seliger, and Senator Whitmire. Senator Ogden also announced the members of the Articles I, IV, VI, and VIII workgroup: Senator Hinojosa (leader), Senator Averitt, and Senator Harris.
Senator Ogden moved that SB 1 be left pending; without objection, it was so ordered.
There being no further business, at 5:51 p.m. Senator Ogden moved that the Committee stand recessed until 8:30 a.m., February 20, 2009. Without objection, it was so ordered.
