The chair called the meeting to order at 9:03 a.m. There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted:
The chair laid out SB 1 as pending business. Witnesses testifying and registering on the bill are shown on the attached list.
The chair recognized the Legislative Budget Board to lay out the workgroup recommendations for Data Center Services Appropriations.
Senator Ogden moved to adopt the workgroup recommendations for Data Center Services Appropriations; without objection, it was so ordered.
The chair recognized the Legislative Budget Board to lay out the workgroup recommendations for Article I, Department of Information Resources.
Senator Ogden moved to adopt the workgroup recommendations for Article I, Department of Information Resources; without objection, it was so ordered.
Senator Ogden moved that SB 1 be left pending; without objection, it was so ordered.
At 9:08 a.m. Senator Ogden moved that the Committee stand recessed until 3:00 p.m.; without objection, it was so ordered.
Senator Ogden reconvened the Committee at 3:12 p.m.

The chair recognized Senator West to lay out the workgroup recommendations for Article III.
Senator Williams moved that Item 4 on page 9 of the workgroup recommendations for Article III, relating to the Texas Education Agency, be moved to Article XI. There being objection, a record vote was taken. The motion carried with a record vote of 13 ayes, 1 nay, 0 present not voting, and 1 absent.
Senator West moved to adopt the amended workgroup recommendations for Article III, Texas Education Agency; without objection, it was so ordered.
Senator West moved to adopt the workgroup recommendations for Article III, School for the Blind and Visually Impaired, School for the Deaf, and Special Provisions for the School for the Blind and Visually Impaired and School for the Deaf ; without objection, it was so ordered.
Senator West moved to adopt the workgroup recommendations for Article III, Teacher Retirement System; without objection, it was so ordered.
Senator West moved to adopt the workgroup recommendations for Article III, Optional Retirement Program; without objection, it was so ordered.
