Pursuant to suspension of Senate Rule 11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Committee on International Relations & Trade was held on Monday, May 25, 2009, at Senator Lucio, Jr.'s Desk.

The chair called the meeting to order at 5:32 p.m.  There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted: 

 

At 5:32 p.m. Senator Williams assumed the chair. 

 

The chair laid out HB 3417 and recognized the Senate sponsor, Senator Lucio, Jr., to explain the bill. 

 

Senator Lucio, Jr. moved that HB 3417 be reported favorably to the Senate with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion carried with a record vote of 6 ayes, 0 nay, 0 present not voting, and 1 absent. 

 

The chair laid out HB 4576 and recognized the Senate sponsor, Senator Lucio, Jr., to explain the bill. 

 

Senator Lucio, Jr. moved that HB 4576 be reported favorably to the Senate with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion carried with a record vote of 6 ayes, 0 nay, 0 present not voting, and 1 absent. 

 

At 5:35 p.m. Senator Lucio, Jr. assumed the chair. 

 

There being no further business, at 5:56 p.m. Senator Lucio, Jr. moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of the chair.  Without objection, it was so ordered.
