Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule 11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Committee on Government Organization was held on Thursday, May 7, 2009, at Senator Ellis's Desk.

The chair called the meeting to order at 2:57 p.m.  There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted: 

 

The chair laid out as a matter of pending business SB 1090. Senator Nelson moved that SB 1090 do not pass but that CSSB 1090 be reported back to the Senate with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed. Senator Nelson moved that the previous motion be reconsidered. The chair announced that the bill would be left pending.

 

There being no further business, at 2:59 p.m. Senator Ellis moved that the Committee stand in recess. Without objection, it was so ordered.
