Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule 11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Committee on Health & Human Services was held on Tuesday, February 10, 2009, in the Senate Chamber.

The chair called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m.  There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted: 

 

The chair welcomed new and returning members of the Committee and made opening remarks.

 

The Chair introduced Committee staff, and each member of the Committee acknowledged their health and human services policy analyst(s).

 

The Chair laid out proposed committee rules to be adopted.

 

Senator Deuell moved adoption of the committee rules. There being no objection, it was so ordered.

 

The chair opened the floor to invited testimony from the Health and Human Services Commission enterprise agencies.

 

Witnesses registering and testifying are shown on the attached list.

 

There being no further business, at 10:40 a.m. Senator Nelson moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of the chair.  Without objection, it was so ordered.
