Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule 11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Committee on Health & Human Services was held on Wednesday, March 10, 2010, in the Senate Chamber.

The chair called the meeting to order at 10:00 a.m. There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted:
Senator Nelson made opening remarks regarding interim charge #11.
Senator Nelson called panel one to provide invited testimony on the current data collection and funding protocols (see attached witness list).
Senator Nelson called panel two to provide invited testimony on current research and recommendations for data collection (see attached witness list).
No witnesses provided public testimony.
The chair moved that the public testimony be closed; without objection, it was so ordered.
Senator Nelson made opening remarks regarding interim charge #14.
Senator Nelson called panel one to provide invited testimony on the overview of the Fostering Connections Act and the state's implementation efforts (see attached witness list).
Senator Nelson called panel two to provide invited testimony on the advocate's perspective (see attached witness list).
No witnesses provided public testimony.
The chair moved that the public testimony be closed; without objection, it was so ordered.
There being no further business, at 1:12 p.m. Senator Nelson moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of the chair. Without objection, it was so ordered.
