Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule 11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Committee on Health & Human Services was held on Wednesday, March 31, 2010, in the House Appropriations Committee Room.

The chair called the meeting to order at 11:08 a.m.  There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted: 

 

Senator Nelson made opening remarks regarding interim charge #1.

 

Senator Duncan made opening remarks regarding interim charge #1.

 

Senator Duncan called the Texas Health and Human Services Commission to provide invited testimony (see attached witness list).

 

Senator Duncan called the Texas Department of Insurance to provide invited testimony (see attached witness list).

 

Senator Duncan called the Employee Retirement System of Texas to provide invited testimony (see attached witness list).

 

There being no further business, at 2:39 p.m. Senator Zaffirini moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of the chair.  Without objection, it was so ordered.
