Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule 11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Committee on Health & Human Services was held on Wednesday, April 14, 2010, in the Senate Chamber.

The chair called the meeting to order at 11:02 p.m.  There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted: 

 

Senator Nelson made opening remarks regarding interim charge #2.

 

Senator Nelson called panel one to provide invited testimony on social services related to prevention and early intervention (see attached witness list).

 

Senator Nelson called panel two to provide invited testimony on social services related to prevention and early intervention (see attached witness list).

 

At 12:19 p.m. Senator Deuell assumed the chair.

 

At 12:24 p.m. Senator Nelson resumed the chair. 

 

Witnesses testifying and registering on the bill are shown on the attached list. 

 

At 1:37 p.m. Senator Deuell assumed the chair. 

 

At 1:53 p.m. Senator Nelson resumed the chair.

 

The chair moved that the public testimony be closed; without objection, it was so ordered.

 

There being no further business, at 2:22 p.m. Senator Deuell moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of the chair.  Without objection, it was so ordered.
