Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with HCR 57, a public hearing of the Joint Legislative Committee on Aging was held on Thursday, June 24, 2010, in the Betty King Committee Room at Austin, Texas.

The chair called the meeting to order at 10:09 a.m.  There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted: 

 

Representative Naishtat moved adoption of the minutes from the previous hearing held on April 1, 2010; without objection, it was so ordered.

 

The chair opened the floor to hear invited testimony. 

 

Witnesses testifying and registering are shown on the attached list. 

 

The chair moved that invited testimony be closed; without objection, it was so ordered. 

 

At 11:35 a.m. Representative Naishtat assumed the chair.

 

The chair opened the floor to hear public testimony. 

 

Witnesses testifying and registering on the bill are shown on the attached list. 

 

The chair moved that the public testimony be closed; without objection, it was so ordered. 

 

There being no further business, at 11:49 a.m. Representative King moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of the chair.  Without objection, it was so ordered.
