Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with HCR, a public hearing of the Joint Legislative Committee on Aging was held on Thursday, October 7, 2010, in the Betty King Committee Room at Austin, Texas.

The chair called the meeting to order at 2:12 p.m.  There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted: 

 

Representative Naishtat moved adoption of the minutes from the previous hearing held on August 31, 2010; without objection, it was so ordered. 

 

The chair opened the floor to hear invited testimony. 

 

Witnesses testifying and registering are shown on the attached list. 

 

At 2:36 p.m. Representative Naishtat assumed the chair. 

 

At 3:22 p.m. Senator Lucio, Jr. resumed the chair. 

 

The chair moved that invited testimony be closed; without objection, it was so ordered.

 

The chair opened the floor to hear public testimony; there being none, the chair moved that public testimony be closed; without objection, it was so ordered.

 

There being no further business, at 4:00 p.m. Senator Lucio, Jr. moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of the chair. Without objection, it was so ordered.
