Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with HCR 57, a public hearing of the Select Committee on Public School Finance Weights, Allotments & Adjustments was held on Thursday, April 22, 2010, in the Capitol Extension, Room E1.036, in Austin, Texas.

Representative Eissler called the meeting to order at 9:04 a.m.  There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted: 

 

Senator Shapiro and Representative Eissler, as Co-Chairs, shared presiding duties throughout the hearing.

 

Richard Middleton moved adoption of the minutes from the previous hearing held on March 23, 2010; without objection, it was so ordered. 

 

 

Representative Eissler called the following invited witnesses to provide testimony.  See attached list.

 

At 12:13 p.m. Senator Shapiro assumed the chair. 

 

At 12:45 p.m. Representative Eissler resumed the chair. 

 

At 5:53 p.m. Representative Eissler called persons who registered as public witnesses to provide testimony.  See attached list.

 

There being no further business, at 6:05 p.m. Representative Eissler moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of the Co-Chairs.  Without objection, it was so ordered.
