Amend CSSB 1 (house committee report) by adding the following appropriately numbered ARTICLE to the bill and renumbering subsequent ARTICLES and SECTIONS of the bill accordingly:

ARTICLE ____. FUNDING FOR INTEROPERABLE STATEWIDE EMERGENCY

RADIO INFRASTRUCTURE

SECTION ____.01.  (a) If HB 442, Acts of the 82nd Legislature, Regular Session, 2011, becomes law, the Department of Public Safety is appropriated $10,000,000 for each year of the state fiscal biennium ending August 31, 2013, for the planning, development, provision, enhancement, and ongoing maintenance of an interoperable statewide emergency radio infrastructure authorized by Subchapter N, Chapter 411, Government Code.

(b)  If HB 442, Acts of the 82nd Legislature, Regular Session, 2011, does not become law, this section has no effect.
