R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Sunnyvale High School seniors celebrated a
  significant milestone in their lives on June 3, 2011, when they
  received their diplomas as members of the school's first graduating
  class; and
         WHEREAS, In 2007, voters in the Town of Sunnyvale passed a $25
  million bond package for construction of a 110,000-square-foot high
  school; proud members of the Class of 2011 began attending the
  brand-new facility as juniors in August 2009; and
         WHEREAS, The Sunnyvale Independent School District has
  adopted the fitting motto "Investing in a brighter future"; under
  the leadership of principal Zachary Hobbs, the dedicated faculty
  and staff at Sunnyvale High assist students in meeting the demands
  of a rigorous academic program, and the school has been rated as
  "Exemplary" by the Texas Education Agency; and
         WHEREAS, During their time together, the young men and women
  of the Sunnyvale High School Class of 2011 worked diligently to
  fulfill the requirements of a well-rounded and challenging
  curriculum; with their graduation, they have reached an important
  educational goal, and they may look forward to many more exciting
  challenges and opportunities in the years ahead; now, therefore, be
  it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
  Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate the Sunnyvale
  High School Class of 2011 and extend to its members sincere best
  wishes for the future; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for the students as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
