R E S O L U T I O N
|

|
|
WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced |
|
|
by a great and enduring love, L. G. and Willie Atchley of Midland |
|
|
celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on May 29, 2011; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Atchley were united in matrimony in |
|
|
Healdton, Oklahoma, in 1941; through the years, they have nurtured |
|
|
a fulfilling marriage that has been made even richer with the |
|
|
addition of their children, Richard L. Atchley, Larry G. Atchley, |
|
|
Peggy M. Nowell, and Barbara A. Tranum, as well as their |
|
|
grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, While much has changed in the world over the past |
|
|
seven decades, this devoted husband and wife have remained constant |
|
|
in their commitment to one another, and the strength of their love |
|
|
has enabled them to meet life's challenges and opportunities with |
|
|
grace and optimism; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
|
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate L. G. and |
|
|
Willie Atchley on their 70th wedding anniversary and extend to them |
|
|
sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Atchley as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
