R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, The rank of Eagle Scout is an achievement shared by
  many of this nation's leaders, and the attainment of this
  significant honor by Hunter Pritchett of Quinlan on June 11, 2011,
  also heralds a future bright with opportunity and promise; and
         WHEREAS, The son of Doug and Lecia Pritchett, this fine young
  Texan has mastered a number of important skills in his quest to
  become an Eagle Scout; he has earned merit badges requiring
  expertise in such diverse areas as public speaking, horsemanship,
  climbing, and carpentry, and he has gained experience in leadership
  and teamwork while undertaking his Eagle Scout project, which
  involved repairing and painting the stairs and wood around the
  slide at a city pool in Terrell; and
         WHEREAS, A valued member of Boy Scout Troop 390 and the Order
  of the Arrow, Mr. Pritchett has served his peers as a troop guide
  and an instructor, and in so doing, he has exemplified the many
  positive traits for which Boy Scouts are renowned; he has further
  distinguished himself as the recipient of numerous awards and as a
  participant in Scout campouts and banquets, and he was named Scout
  of the Year in 2011; moreover, outside of scouting, he has received
  accolades for his performance on the piano and the trombone and has
  taken part in Relay for Life; and
         WHEREAS, In fulfilling the rigorous requirements for
  attaining the Eagle Scout insignia, Hunter Pritchett has
  demonstrated an unwavering commitment to the organization and its
  ideals, and the knowledge and confidence he has acquired along the
  way will indeed serve him well in the years to come; now, therefore,
  be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
  Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Eagle Scout
  Hunter Pritchett on attaining this prestigious rank and extend to
  him sincere best wishes for continued success and happiness; and,
  be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Pritchett as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
