R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Sharing a deep bond of love that has spanned six |
|
|
decades, Floretta and Wilbern Peden of Midland celebrated their |
|
|
60th wedding anniversary on May 13, 2011; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Peden exchanged the vows of matrimony |
|
|
in Childress on that memorable day in 1951, and over the course of |
|
|
their marriage, they have found in each other a devoted life |
|
|
partner; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Residents of Midland for 40 years, the couple count |
|
|
among their blessings a fine family that includes two children, |
|
|
Susan Galson and her husband, Tony, and Diane Scott, as well as six |
|
|
grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, with whom they |
|
|
treasure sharing the many special occasions of life; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Looking back over the past six decades, Floretta and |
|
|
Wilbern Peden can savor a wealth of cherished family memories and |
|
|
know that the strength of their love and commitment ensures that |
|
|
many more joyful times await them; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
|
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Floretta and |
|
|
Wilbern Peden on their 60th wedding anniversary and extend to them |
|
|
sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Peden as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
