H.R. No. 138
 
 
 
R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, Bill Carlisle has served his community as an officer
  in the Arlington Kiwanis Club for 14 years; and
         WHEREAS, Born on March 19, 1942, in Cleveland, Ohio, Mr.
  Carlisle grew up in Ohio, New York, and Pennsylvania, and as a youth
  he enjoyed sailing, baseball, squash, writing, and participating in
  the glee club; he graduated from Cornell University and earned a
  master's degree in business administration from the Wharton School
  at the University of Pennsylvania; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Carlisle joined the United States Army Medical
  Service Corps and first served in Germany, where he ran an officer's
  club; he then volunteered for deployment to Vietnam and spent 18
  months there, including six months in Saigon; he returned to the
  United States in 1969 and went to work for General Foods in White
  Plains, New York; he later moved to Dallas, then Los Angeles,
  Denver, and finally Arlington; and
         WHEREAS, Now an employee at Cam-Tech Manufacturing, Mr.
  Carlisle is an avid cyclist, computer guru, and crossword puzzle
  enthusiast; in addition to his dedicated involvement in Kiwanis
  International, he is a member of the Maverick Athletic Club in
  Arlington and has spent time there nearly every morning for 30
  years; and
         WHEREAS, In all of his endeavors, Mr. Carlisle is supported
  by his wife, Jane, and his three children, Bill, Steve, and Andrea;
  and
         WHEREAS, The selfless efforts of community leaders help to
  improve the lives of all Texans, and the citizens of Arlington are
  fortunate indeed to count Bill Carlisle among their follow
  residents; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
  Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby commend Bill Carlisle for
  his service as an officer in the Arlington Kiwanis Club and extend
  to him sincere best wishes for continued success and happiness;
  and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Carlisle as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
