R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Countless lives were touched by the kindness and
  generosity of Sharon Elaine Wright of Plano, who passed away on June
  14, 2011; and
         WHEREAS, A longtime City of Plano employee, Mrs. Wright began
  her tenure there with the utility billing department in July 1987;
  she distinguished herself in several positions through the years,
  earning respect and admiration for her writing skills, her positive
  demeanor, and her readiness to take on any task; at the time of her
  retirement in January 2010, she was a valued member of the city
  manager group, serving as the executive administrative assistant to
  the mayor and council; and
         WHEREAS, Mrs. Wright brought to all her endeavors energy,
  compassion, and joy; she took great pleasure in gardening and yard
  work, and she was a talented crafter who won first place for a
  wreath she entered in a State Fair of Texas creative arts contest;
  moreover, she had a knack for decorating that often led to others
  seeking her advice or assistance; and
         WHEREAS, Above all, Mrs. Wright was devoted to her family,
  especially delighting in her role as grandmother, or "Nana," to DJ,
  Logan, Connor, and Avery, whose company she especially treasured;
  and
         WHEREAS, Although Sharon Wright is deeply missed, memories of
  this beloved woman remain to comfort and inspire all those who had
  the good fortune to know her; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
  Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the life of
  Sharon Elaine Wright and extend sincere sympathy to the members of
  her family: to her husband, Freddie Wright; to her children, Kim
  Starr and her husband, David, David Wright and his wife, Diana, and
  Colin Wright; to her grandchildren, DJ Starr and Logan, Connor, and
  Avery Wright; to her sister, Doris Johnson, and her husband, Jim;
  and to her other relatives and many friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Sharon
  Elaine Wright.
