R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Joyce Lindsey is retiring as associate director of
  the Texas Access to Justice Foundation on June 30, 2011, concluding
  a distinguished career that has spanned more than two decades with
  this noteworthy organization; and
         WHEREAS, In 1989, Ms. Lindsey joined the foundation as
  director of finance; she served in that role for two years before
  becoming associate director; her numerous responsibilities include
  reporting on grant awards, fiscal review of the approximately 40
  grantees, and fiscal management of annual IOLTA compliance for more
  than 90,000 attorneys, annual collection of interest on 25,000
  IOLTA accounts, and the foundation's budget, audit, and tax
  returns; in addition, she manages human resources, information
  technology needs, and vendor matters; and
         WHEREAS, Previously, Ms. Lindsey served as an accountant for
  the State Bar of Texas from 1976-1989; she is a native of Plainview
  and grew up in West Texas; in 1965, she married David Lindsey, and
  through the years, their fine family has grown to include a son,
  Anthony Lindsey, and his wife, Julie, a daughter, Rachel
  Stockstill, and her husband, Kraig, as well as three grandsons; her
  retirement will allow her more time for her favorite hobbies,
  gardening, cooking, and traveling; and
         WHEREAS, Joyce Lindsey has greatly benefited the Texas Access
  to Justice Foundation through her skill, professionalism, and
  dedication, and she may indeed take pride in her contributions and
  achievements; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
  Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Joyce Lindsey
  on the occasion of her retirement from the Texas Access to Justice
  Foundation and extend to her sincere best wishes for the next
  exciting chapter of her life; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Ms. Lindsey as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
