R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Family and friends will long cherish their memories |
|
of Harold Wayne Cline, Sr., of Irving, who passed away on May 16, |
|
2011, at the age of 86; and |
|
WHEREAS, Born on March 16, 1925, in Denton County, Harold |
|
Cline was a proud veteran of World War II, having served his country |
|
aboard the U.S.S. Doyen as a member of the United States Navy; he |
|
went on to become a valued employee of the City of Irving and |
|
retired after a notable career that spanned three decades; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Cline married the love of his life, Bobbie |
|
Louise Curtis, on December 28, 1946; the couple shared a rewarding |
|
relationship that was blessed with four children, Harold, Larry, |
|
Darrell, and Linda; later in life, they enjoyed doting on their 10 |
|
grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; and |
|
WHEREAS, Although Harold Cline will be deeply missed, he will |
|
always be remembered with great affection by all those who held him |
|
dear; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the life of |
|
Harold Wayne Cline, Sr., and extend sincere sympathy to the members |
|
of his family: to his wife, Bobbie Cline; to his sons, Larry Cline |
|
and Darrell Cline; to his daughter, Linda Hammond; to his sisters, |
|
Imogene Lucas and Sally Vestal; to his 10 grandchildren and 7 |
|
great-grandchildren; and to his other relatives and friends; and, |
|
be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Harold |
|
Wayne Cline, Sr. |
