R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, A life rich in family, friends, and meaningful |
|
accomplishments drew to a close with the passing of Jo Ann Okle of |
|
Irving on May 28, 2011, at the age of 71; and |
|
WHEREAS, Born on May 3, 1940, in Nowata, Oklahoma, to Emmett |
|
Franklin and Ava Dell Brown, the former Jo Ann Brown was one of |
|
eight children; she shared 51 years of marriage with her husband, |
|
Clifford, and together the devoted couple welcomed into their |
|
family a son, Dennis, and two granddaughters, Niki and Lindsay; and |
|
WHEREAS, Those fortunate enough to have spent time in the |
|
company of Jo Ann Okle will remember how she touched their lives |
|
with her sweet and gentle spirit, and she will forever hold a |
|
treasured place in their hearts; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the life of |
|
Jo Ann Okle and extend sincere sympathy to the members of her |
|
family: to her husband, Clifford R. Okle; to her son, Dennis Okle, |
|
and his wife, Debbie; to her grandchildren, Niki and Lindsay Okle; |
|
to her brothers, Emmett, Buddy, and Elbert Brown; to her sister, |
|
Sibbie Sams; and to her other relatives and friends; and, be it |
|
further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Jo Ann |
|
Okle. |
