R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, DoubleTree by Hilton is celebrating the 25th
  anniversary of its signature chocolate chip cookie with a
  nationwide Cookie CAREavan tour; and
         WHEREAS, The event is named in honor of the company's CARE
  (Creating a Rewarding Experience) program, a commitment to going
  above and beyond expected standards for its guests, team members,
  and community; and
         WHEREAS, Presented as a welcome to every hotel guest, the
  DoubleTree by Hilton chocolate chip cookie has become a symbol of
  the company's hospitality to travelers, with millions of cookies
  being enjoyed through the years; and
         WHEREAS, Part of a global cookie CARE Campaign, the
  DoubleTree by Hilton Cookie CAREavan Tour will share more than
  250,000 of the brand's beloved chocolate chip cookies at special
  events in 50 major cities around the world, including Austin,
  Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, and El Paso; and
         WHEREAS, The DoubleTree by Hilton chocolate chip cookie
  represents both a simple act of kindness and corporate engagement
  in the community, and it is indeed fitting to pay tribute to this
  iconic dessert on the occasion of its milestone year; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
  Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby recognize July 2011 as
  DoubleTree by Hilton Chocolate Chip Cookie Month and extend sincere
  best wishes for success to all those involved in the initiative;
  and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for DoubleTree by Hilton as an expression of high regard by
  the Texas House of Representatives.
