R E S O L U T I O N
|

|
|
WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced |
|
|
by a great and enduring love, Wendell and Myra Shirley Crist of |
|
|
Yantis celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on June 17, 2011; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Crist exchanged the vows of matrimony |
|
|
in Yantis in 1961, and over the course of their marriage, they have |
|
|
found in each other a loving life partner; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Crist count among their blessings a |
|
|
fine family that includes their children, Wesley and his wife, |
|
|
Deborah, Kelvin and his wife, Michelle, Nathan and his wife, Tina, |
|
|
and Rodney and his wife, Debbie, as well as nine grandchildren and |
|
|
nine great-grandchildren, with whom they share the many special |
|
|
occasions of life; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, While much has changed in the world over the past |
|
|
half-century, this devoted husband and wife have remained constant |
|
|
in their commitment to one another, and the strength of their love |
|
|
has enabled them to meet life's challenges and opportunities with |
|
|
grace and optimism; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
|
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Wendell and |
|
|
Myra Crist on their golden wedding anniversary and extend to them |
|
|
sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Crist as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
