A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the appropriation of money from the economic |
|
|
stabilization fund to be used for public education during the next |
|
|
state fiscal biennium. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. The amount of $4 billion is appropriated for the |
|
|
state fiscal biennium beginning September 1, 2011, from the |
|
|
economic stabilization fund to the Texas Education Agency for the |
|
|
Foundation School Program under Chapter 42, Education Code. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect only if it receives a vote |
|
|
of two-thirds of the members present in each house of the |
|
|
legislature, as provided by Section 49-g(m), Article III, Texas |
|
|
Constitution. |
|
|
SECTION 3. This Act takes effect immediately. |
