SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 63
 
 
  In Memory
  of
  Deborah Lynn Adams
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the
  citizens of The Woodlands in mourning the loss of Deborah Lynn
  Adams, who died May 15, 2011, at the age of 54; and
         WHEREAS, Deborah Lynn Adams was born May 5, 1957, in
  Kinder, Louisiana; she was an exemplary citizen who had an
  enormous impact on the lives of many who faced disabilities and
  addiction, and her commitment to service and love of life were
  inspirational; and
         WHEREAS, Over the course of her impressive career, she set
  a high standard for the services necessary to care for those who
  require assistance to live their daily lives with dignity and
  meaning; she established several intermediate care facilities
  for people with mental retardation across the state and played a
  vital role in founding numerous Home and Community-Based
  Services programs; and
         WHEREAS, A woman of courage, compassion, and joyous
  energy, she gave unselfishly to others, and her dedication to
  ensuring quality care, her generous spirit, and her enthusiasm
  for living each day to the fullest will not be forgotten by those
  who knew her; and
         WHEREAS, Debbie Adams was devoted to her family, and
  although she will be greatly missed by all those who shared in her
  life, she will continue to live in their hearts and minds for
  years to come; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 82nd
  Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby extend sincere
  condolences to the bereaved family of Deborah Lynn Adams: her
  children, Kaelynn Adams Haack and Cooper Adams Haack; her
  sisters, Billie Welch and Mary Roberts; and her nieces, nephews,
  cousins, and friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  her family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas
  Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in
  memory of Debbie Lynn Adams.
