SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 86
|
|
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |
|
recognize Gloria C. Arriaga on the occasion of her retirement as |
|
executive director of the Alamo Area Council of Governments after |
|
40 years of outstanding service with the organization; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The Alamo Area Council of Governments is a |
|
voluntary association of local governments and organizations |
|
that serves a 12-county region around San Antonio with planning, |
|
information, and organizational activities; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, During her tenure with the Alamo Area Council of |
|
Governments, Mrs. Arriaga has served in many capacities and has |
|
had direct responsibility for administration, the Area Agencies |
|
on Aging, the Bexar Mental Retardation Authority, and the |
|
council's housing and workforce services; she began serving as |
|
executive director on February 1, 2007; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, |
|

|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
WHEREAS, An exemplary and dynamic leader for the Alamo Area |
|
Council of Governments, Gloria Arriaga fulfilled her many |
|
responsibilities with the organization with dedication and |
|
enthusiasm, and she will be greatly missed; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
|
her as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate. |
