SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 86
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
  recognize Gloria C. Arriaga on the occasion of her retirement as
  executive director of the Alamo Area Council of Governments after
  40 years of outstanding service with the organization; and
 
         WHEREAS, The Alamo Area Council of Governments is a
  voluntary association of local governments and organizations
  that serves a 12-county region around San Antonio with planning,
  information, and organizational activities; and
 
         WHEREAS, During her tenure with the Alamo Area Council of
  Governments, Mrs. Arriaga has served in many capacities and has
  had direct responsibility for administration, the Area Agencies
  on Aging, the Bexar Mental Retardation Authority, and the
  council's housing and workforce services; she began serving as
  executive director on February 1, 2007; and
 
         WHEREAS,
 
 
 
 
 
         WHEREAS, An exemplary and dynamic leader for the Alamo Area
  Council of Governments, Gloria Arriaga fulfilled her many
  responsibilities with the organization with dedication and
  enthusiasm, and she will be greatly missed; now, therefore, be it
 
         RESOLVED,
 
 
 
 
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  her as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
