SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 134
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is proud to
  recognize the Texans who have honorably served their country in
  the military forces in times of war and peace; and
         WHEREAS, Veterans Day is an opportunity for Texans
  everywhere to be reminded of the valor and dedication to freedom
  our nation's veterans have shown on behalf of our country; and
         WHEREAS, In honor of the sacrifices made by these brave men
  and women, a Veterans Day parade and memorial service is being
  held November 12, 2011, presented by the United States Military
  Veterans Parade Association, Bexar County, and the City of San
  Antonio; and
         WHEREAS, The courageous men and women who fought in wars
  and peacekeeping missions have set a lasting standard for others
  to follow; their selfless devotion and strength have left an
  indelible mark on the world; and
         WHEREAS, It is indeed fitting that all Texans reaffirm
  their gratitude to those true patriots who have fought so bravely
  in defense of our nation's safety, security, and ideals; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 82nd
  Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby honor and commend the men
  and women who have served this nation in the armed services and
  join all Texans in paying tribute to them on Veterans Day; and, be
  it further
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared in
  honor of this solemn occasion.
