Certain new provisions would make direct appropriations to the Comptroller of Public Accounts - Fiscal Programs for the Jobs and Education for Texans program, the Texas Forest Service for combating wildfires, the Department of Public Safety for border security, and the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department for Border Security.
Certain other new provisions would affect certain appropriations contingent upon passage of other legislation including to the Texas Education Agency for charter school bonds, the Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) for the transfer of certain functions from the Texas Department of Rural Affairs to the TDA, and the General Land Office (GLO) for the transfer of certain functions from the Texas Department of Rural Affairs and the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs to the GLO.
Further, a final new provision directs certain appropriations to the University of Texas at Austin to a specific purpose.
