After adjusting the totals for items that represent state spending regardless of appropriation levels (such as Medicaid spending and debt service), SB 2, Engrossed would increase state spending in the 2012-13 biennium, relative to the 2010-11 biennium, however the increase in spending is not expected to significantly affect private sector employment, personal income, or any other indicator of economic activity in the state of Texas.  The bill would increase state employment by 13 FTEs in FY 2012 and 21 FTEs in FY 2013.
