Amend CSHB 1 (house committee printing) as follows:

(1)  In the bill pattern for The University of Texas at Austin, insert the following appropriately-numbered rider:

____. LEGISLATIVE LAW CLINIC. Out of the funds appropriated above, $210,000 in each year of the biennium shall be used for the continuation of the Legislative Lawyering Clinic in the School of Law. These funds shall be used to pay for clinic academic and administrative personnel, research, surveys, and other expenses associated with the clinic.

(2)  In Article XI, strike the item for the Legislative Lawyering Clinic on page XI-2.
