Amend HB 1301 (house committee report) as follows:

(1) On page 1, lines 10 and 11, strike "$5 or more" and substitute "$1".

(2) On page 1, between lines 11 and 12, insert the following:

(b) The contribution shall be automatically included in the total amount due for the registration or renewal of the registration of a motor vehicle under this chapter. A person shall have the option at the time of registration or renewal to decline to make the contribution described by Subsection (a). If a person declines to make the contribution, the amount shall be deducted from the total amount due for the registration or renewal.

(3) On page 1, line 12, strike "(b)" and substitute "(c)".

(4) On page 1, lines 13 and 14, strike "for credit to the Parks and Wildlife Department" and substitute "for deposit to the credit of the state parks account under Section 11.035, Parks and Wildlife Code".
