AUTHOR'S / SPONSOR'S STATEMENT OF INTENT

There are certain municipalities whose police officers are eligible to apply for certification to enforce commercial motor vehicle safety standards.  Interested parties note, however, that there are other municipalities of certain populations and certain locations whose police officers are not eligible to apply for this certification.  H.B. 1010 seeks to address this issue by changing statutory provisions relating to the enforcement of commercial motor vehicle safety standards in certain municipalities.

H.B. 1010 amends current law relating to enforcement of commercial motor vehicle safety standards in certain municipalities.
