C.S.S.B. 810

Committee Report (Substituted)

BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE

Interested parties contend that, currently, the points defining the boundaries of the Ingleside Cove Wildlife Sanctuary are defined by older descriptions that leave room for confusion.  C.S.S.B. 810 seeks to provide clearer and more accurate descriptions of the sanctuary's boundaries through the use of global positioning system coordinates.

RULEMAKING AUTHORITY

It is the committee's opinion that this bill does not expressly grant any additional rulemaking authority to a state officer, department, agency, or institution.

ANALYSIS

C.S.S.B. 810 amends the Parks and Wildlife Code, in provisions creating the Ingleside Cove Wildlife Sanctuary in San Patricio and Nueces Counties, to change the description of the boundaries of the sanctuary.

EFFECTIVE DATE

On passage, or, if the bill does not receive the necessary vote, September 1, 2011.

COMPARISON OF ORIGINAL AND SUBSTITUTE

C.S.S.B. 810 differs from the original in nonsubstantive ways.
