AUTHOR'S / SPONSOR'S STATEMENT OF INTENT

 

S.B. 1303 is a general code update bill prepared by the Texas Legislative Council to make various nonsubstantive amendments to enacted codes, conform the codes to acts of previous legislatures, correct references and terminology, properly organize and number the law, and codify other law that properly belongs in the codes.  This Act is enacted as part of the state's continuing statutory revision program under Chapter 323 (Texas Legislative Council), Government Code.

 

As proposed, S.B. 1303 amends current law relating to nonsubstantive additions to and corrections in enacted codes, to the nonsubstantive codification or disposition of various laws omitted from enacted codes, and to conforming codifications enacted by the 81st Legislature to other Acts of that legislature.

 

RULEMAKING AUTHORITY

 

This bill does not expressly grant any additional rulemaking authority to a state officer, institution, or agency.
