BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE

 

The goal of S.B. 1926 is to rename a certain outpatient clinic operated by the South Texas Health Care System in Harlingen, Texas, as the Colonel H. William "Bill" Card, Jr., Outpatient Clinic.

 

RULEMAKING AUTHORITY

 

It is the committee's opinion that this bill does not expressly grant any additional rulemaking authority to a state officer, department, agency, or institution.

 

ANALYSIS

 

S.B. 1926 amends the Health and Safety Code to remove the name of Representative Jim Solis from the Representative Jim Solis and Colonel H. William "Bill" Card, Jr., Outpatient Clinic operated by the South Texas Health Care System in Harlingen, Texas.

 

EFFECTIVE DATE

 

On passage, or, if the bill does not receive the necessary vote, September 1, 2011.
