A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT

relating to the practice of psychological associates. |

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
|
|
|
SECTION 1. The heading to Section 501.259, Occupations |
|
|
|
|
|
Code, is amended to read as follows: |
|
|
|
|
|
Sec. 501.259. LICENSING AND SUPERVISION OF PSYCHOLOGICAL |
|
|
|
|
|
ASSOCIATE. |
|
|
|
|
|
SECTION 2. Section 501.259, Occupations Code, is amended by |
|
|
|
|
|
adding Subsection (c) to read as follows: |
|
|
|
|
|
(c) A psychological associate may not engage in the practice |
|
|
|
|
|
of psychology unless the psychological associate practices under |
|
|
|
|
|
the supervision of a psychologist. |
|
|
|
|
|
SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2011. |
