A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 
 
AN ACT
 
  relating to the practice of psychological associates.
         
         BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
         
         SECTION 1.  The heading to Section 501.259, Occupations
 
  Code, is amended to read as follows:
         
         Sec. 501.259.  LICENSING AND SUPERVISION OF PSYCHOLOGICAL
 
  ASSOCIATE.
         
         SECTION 2.  Section 501.259, Occupations Code, is amended by
 
  adding Subsection (c) to read as follows:
         
         (c)  A psychological associate may not engage in the practice
 
  of psychology unless the psychological associate practices under
 
  the supervision of a psychologist.
         
         SECTION 3.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2011.
