A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to personalization of certain license plates issued to |
|
|
veterans with disabilities. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 504.202, Transportation Code, is amended |
|
|
by amending Subsection (e) and adding Subsection (i) to read as |
|
|
follows: |
|
|
(e) Other than license plates issued under Subsection (h) or |
|
|
personalized under Subsection (i), license plates issued under this |
|
|
section must include: |
|
|
(1) the letters "DV" as a prefix or suffix to any |
|
|
numeral on the plate; and |
|
|
(2) the words "Disabled Veteran" and "U.S. Armed |
|
|
Forces" at the bottom of each license plate. |
|
|
(i) A person entitled to specialty license plates under this |
|
|
section may personalize the license plates. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2011. |
