A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the repeal of the designation of the Little River |
|
|
reservoir and the Little River off-channel reservoir as sites of |
|
|
unique value for the construction of a reservoir. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 16.051, Water Code, is amended by adding |
|
|
Subsection (g-2) to read as follows: |
|
|
(g-2) Subsection (g-1) does not apply to: |
|
|
(1) Little River reservoir, to be located on the |
|
|
Little River upstream from its confluence with the Brazos River in |
|
|
Milam County; or |
|
|
(2) Little River off-channel reservoir, to be located |
|
|
northwest of the city of Milano in Milam County, on Beaver Creek, a |
|
|
tributary of the Little River. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives |
|
|
a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as |
|
|
provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this |
|
|
Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this |
|
|
Act takes effect September 1, 2011. |
