A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the design of specialty license plates issued to |
|
|
members and former members of the United States armed forces. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 504.3011(a), Transportation Code, is |
|
|
amended to read as follows: |
|
|
(a) License plates issued under Section 504.303: |
|
|
(1) must at a minimum bear a color depiction of the |
|
|
emblem of the appropriate branch of the United States armed forces; |
|
|
and |
|
|
(2) may, on the request of an applicant for the license |
|
|
plates, include the words "Honorably Discharged" for license plates |
|
|
issued to former members of the United States armed forces. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2011. |
