A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the design of specialty license plates issued to |
|
|
members and former members of the United States armed forces. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 504.3011(a), Transportation Code, is |
|
|
amended to read as follows: |
|
|
(a) License plates issued under Section 504.303 must at a |
|
|
minimum: |
|
|
(1) bear a color depiction of the emblem of the |
|
|
appropriate branch of the United States armed forces; and |
|
|
(2) include the words "Honorably Discharged" for |
|
|
license plates issued to former members of the United States armed |
|
|
forces. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2011. |
