A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the funding of scholarships by license fees. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Chapter 57, Occupations Code, is amended by |
|
|
adding Section 57.003 to read as follows: |
|
|
Sec. 57.003. FEES DEDICATED TO SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMS. A fee |
|
|
collected from a license holder to fund a scholarship program may be |
|
|
used only for the purpose of funding the scholarship program. |
|
|
SECTION 2. Section 57.003, Occupations Code, as added by |
|
|
this Act, applies only to a fee collected on or after the effective |
|
|
date of this Act. |
|
|
SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2011. |
