A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|

|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the priority of oil or gas well inspections by the |
|
|
Railroad Commission of Texas. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Subchapter D, Chapter 91, Natural Resources |
|
|
Code, is amended by adding Section 91.10125 to read as follows: |
|
|
Sec. 91.10125. PRIORITY OF INSPECTIONS OF OIL OR GAS WELLS. |
|
|
In determining the order or frequency with which members or |
|
|
employees of the commission inspect oil or gas wells, the |
|
|
commission shall give priority to oil or gas wells that are located |
|
|
in a county: |
|
|
(1) with a population of 650,000 or more; and |
|
|
(2) in which there are more than 2,000 producing oil or |
|
|
gas wells. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2011. |
