A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the release of certain information regarding child |
|
|
fatalities resulting from abuse or neglect. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 261.203, Family Code, is amended by |
|
|
adding Subsection (g) to read as follows: |
|
|
(g) As soon as the information described by Subsections (a) |
|
|
and (b) is available, the department shall provide the information |
|
|
to: |
|
|
(1) the judge of each court in the state having |
|
|
jurisdiction over child abuse and neglect cases and proceedings; |
|
|
and |
|
|
(2) each judge with supervisory authority over a court |
|
|
having jurisdiction over child abuse and neglect cases and |
|
|
proceedings. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2011. |
